Guess who went to see MIKA on wednesday night???
Lordie lord, it was fantastic. I sang (yelled?) along to every single song and my throat hurt the next morning but it was worth it. He had so many props and awesome stuffs, including an umbrella made of crystally things, top hats (TOP HATS!) and a big screen at the back of the stage that always had cool animations showing. He did almost all of the songs on the new album and most of the old ones too ^^ And during Big Girls there was a GINORMOUS inflatable leg with a high heel shoe that took up the whole stage xD
Not to mention the gold confetti that shot up from the sides of the stage and rained down on us like glorious sunshine (ahhh). And also BALLOONS! Giant ones the size of space hoppers!
Oh, and we all got free lollipops =D
Ah, I haven't had so much fun in a long time...

Well, since I frequently find myself obsessing over characters and wishing they actually existed (unhealthy? Maybe. But don't tell me you haven't done it with someone like Mr Darcy or...*shudder* Edward Cullen. Yes, I'm a Twi-Hater) so I figured I might as well put them down here so you can all laugh at me or whatever =P
On with the show...
#1

Zero Kiryu ~ Vampire Knight
I'm totally obsessed with this guy. I have a picture of him in my room (told you I was obsessed =P)Zero was a human, who got turned into a vampire (bonus). He's got a feiry temper and he's extremely passionate when it comes to the woman he loves (but never gets, even though he should have. Grrrrrrrr...*ahem* but that's for another day) Oh, and he's really hot. I always tend to go for the guys who are a bit more moody and rugged, rather than those perfect, pretty boy types (go look up Kaname Kuran. Ick).
#2

Ryou Shirogane - Tokyo Mew Mew
As a rule, I don't go for blonde guys, but Ryou's another tough guy with a temper (pattern?) and he's a genius. And just look at his shirt, it's awesome. Again, this guy is the underdog in the typical shojo anime relationship pattern (that is, one girl, one guy who she loves, and one guy she should love and who usually loves her more. But she always picks the perfect guy) and I usually root for the ones that the girls don't actually end up with.
#3

Kyon - The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya
This one's more of a 'I wish he was real so we could hang out'. Kyon's sarcastic, and normal compared to the other characters. I'd love to meet hyper, crazy Haruhi too ^^
#4

Tamaki Suou - Ouran High School Host Club
Ok, I'm going to look like a huge hypocrite because I said I didn't like blondes or pretty boy types. Well, Tamaki certainly is, but the difference is, his flaws are shown, and he isn't shown to be perfect (except to the clients, but that's his job ;3) we can see that he's jealous, naive and overprotective. But it's shown in such a cute way that I can't help but love him. And he's so passionate about Haruhi and would do anything for her. Oh, and he's a gentleman, and that's like handing over my soul for me

Kaname Kuran - Vampire Knight
This is Kaname Kuran (but Livvy, you hate Kaname!) Yes I do. He used Zero as a shield to protect Yuki, which he would do anyway, but Kaname practically blackmailed him. And he claimed that he wanted what was best for Yuki, when clearly he just wanted her for himself, and if he wanted her to be happy, how happy would she be if she knew what a dick he was to Zero, who she really cared about. So yes, I wish Kaname Kuran was real. So I could kick him where it hurts.
Nuff said.

I've been neglecting you again, I apologise. I'll share this with you, coz I find it funny:
There must be something about blue hair that guys just can't ignore. Seriously. I've never really tried blue hair before (i've had pretty much every other colour. Except orange...) but I decided to give it a go. I added it to my purple fringe and tips, so now I've got purple fringe, turquoisey hair and royal blue tips. Actually, gimme a minute and I'l get a picture after I've written this...
Anyway, I've had it since last wednesday, and on thursday when I was waiting for the bus home from work, a guy of about 20 walks past and says he likes my hair. I thank him. Then he comes BACK and asks me for my number. I politely inform him that I have a boyfriend and he moves on. Now, I'm thinking 'hey, this really does look cool'
Then while I was walking to the bus stop this morning, a guy on a moped/scooter thing (with L plates. Yeah) drives (can you call it that?) up to me and askes me the same thing. Except this time when I tell him I've got a boyfriend he asks me where I'm going (work), and then when I finish. What part of I have a boyfriend do you not understand?! So I figure it must be the blue hair, because nothing like that's ever happened to me before. But we'll see what happens =/
Anyways! Rant over (if anyone actually reads this, please let me know your thoughts on it). On another subject, I'm listening to Ellie Goulding right now, I believe she's getting pretty popular. Thing is, I can be all smug coz I knew about her before she got all big, because i went to see Little Boots back in October zerooo niiine (if anyone else did, wasn't she bloody fantastic?!) and Ellie was one of the support acts. She's pretty damn good live (Y) So yeah, finally I get to say i knew about her before she was famous so neuurrrghhhh =P Check her out people, I'll be buying her ablum Lights when it comes out in March.
In other news (this is turning out to be quite lengthy) I'm getting closer to being set for Livvy's African Adventure (or LAA as I may call it). Fill you in time? I'm going to do conservation work in South Africa for four weeks, pretty much all of April. Can't. Freaking. Wait.
16 days till MIKA!!! 27 days till Emilie Autumn!!!!!
<------ My hair, jsyk. I brightened it a bit, but you get the genral idea =3

Since I've made my debut here now, I am pleased to tell you all that I am a huge anime and manga nerd. Yay! So if there are any Vampire Knight, Rozen Maiden, Haruhi Suzumiya, Lucky Star or Tokyo Mew Mew fans out there, talk to me =D I like a whole load of other series too, and I'm always open to recommendations, just drop me the proverbial line and we can have a natter =3
SO. Since I mentioned Rozen Maiden before, now I'm gonna go all squee about what I've ordered. Firstly, I love Suigintou. Lovelovelove. So not content with having pictures of her all over my computer and phone, I decided I had to have her outfit. So, ladies and gentlemen, I proudly present to you, my cosplay ~

Now isn't that just gorgeous? It's made to order, so I handed over my measurements last wednesday, and I am informed that it was dispatched two days ago =D So, coming from China I'm expecting it to take about a week. Everybody be excited with me ^^
Don't think I have any other newsage at the moment, but I'll keep updating!

Just a little update, I feel like I've ignored my LJ a bit. Got my Chicki stuff, pics and review to come.
Also got something I've been waiting for for AGES. My Emilie Autumn goodies =3 What? You've never heard of her? Oh my, I'll need to change that. Go look her up, she's musical talent and fantasmicness on legs.
Football match today! Haven't been to one in ages, so I'll make up for that by SCREAMING THE BLINKING HELL OUT OF MY VO CAL CHORDS. Ahem. But that's for later.
Keep happy darlings!

Being ill is annoying, because not only do you feel unwell, it means you can't go out and do the things you normally do. So I'm stuck at home and I'm very bored. Now, I'm not just going to mope about it, I've decided to use my time compiling a list of all the websites I know that sell cute, funky, awesome accessories and stuffs. So here goes:
www.heidiseeker.com <--- My personal fave. They sell amazingly cute and unique jewellery, and some of the accessories are to die for. I recently bought a beret with a cat face on it and it's never stopped getting smiles and compliments (even from a random lady on the bus). Delivery is quick and reliable, and if you spend enough you sometimes et a little free gift =3 And best of all, the stuff is so reasonably priced, unlike some jewellery sites where you see things that are cool but definitely not worth what they're charging. £12 for a sheet of plastic shaped like an ice cream cone? No thanks. Which brings me to our next site;
www.punkypins.com <---- Now, don't et me wrong. Some of the stuff here is adorable, and really funky, and I appreciate that it's hand made, but so is the stuff on other sites that charge less for sometimes better products. That said, they've got a sale on at the moment and a lot of stuff is reduced to roughly what I would pay for the items anyway. But maybe I'm just a cheapskate. Anyways, now's the time to get yourself there!
www.ladyluckrulesok.com <--- Another fave, I've been buying from LLROK for a good five years now, and they still don't disappoint. The jewellery is uber cool, especially the personalised necklaces and brooches, and if they ever have a lucky bag deal on, GET IT. They are packed with some awesome stuff, most of it never even seen on the website, for a real bargain price (and I've added them up to check). Things seem to have gotten a little pricey recently, but it's still not too bad, and the goods are well worth it. One thing I like about these guys is their super fast delivery, I've often ordered things and recieved them the next day.
www.kitsch-tique.co.uk/ <--- Lovelovelove this site. One of my more recent discoveries, I think I only found it last year. There is an incredible choice of items ranging from quirky and unique to classy and vintage. Leaning towards the quirky, myself, I've bought a my little pony necklace, and it is adorable. If you want one and see them in stock though, snap it up quick coz they're very popular. The prices are very very good considering how unusual and well made the products are, the delivery is speedy (I remember being surprised when my order arrived, since I'd only ordered it the day before) and the beatiful items are beautifully packaged =3
www.dollydagger.co.uk <--- Now, I have to admit I have yet to actually order anything from Dolly Dagger. For me, it's just a little over my budget. Having said that, some of the jewellery and accessories are fairly reasonable, it all depends on the brand/designer. For example, there are DollyDagger's own necklaces for £10-20, and designer Tarina Tarantino's for £50-160, and a lot of other stuff in between. It's a very good place to go for 50s syle clothing, if you have the money. But I find that some of the gifts are pretty reasonable, and very very sweet.
www.kittycatblack.com <--- Going gothic kawaii now, Kittycat Black is an Australian shop that sells mostly bead chokers but they seem to be branching out a bit. Anyway, these chokers are the main focus and although I've yet to buy one, they are uniquely gorgeous. Featuring a charm and beads in a range of colours and designs, they consist of two seperate necklaces that can be worn together, apart, or mixed and matched with other Kittycat Black necklaces. Although the shop is Australian there are sites all over the world that stock their jewellery, and in the UK you can get it at www.nocturnis-gothic-jewellery.co.uk/kit tycat-black-m-11.html at up to £20, so not bad really =3
Well, that's all for now. I'll update on Chicki when the stuff gets here, and I'll post you on any more kawaii finds!

Why is it that when you're waiting for something to be delivered, the chance is higher that the doorbell won't ring, or the tv will be too loud for you to hear it? I suppose I don't get things shipped on a sunday without a little aggravation somewhere else along the line. There's nothing I hate more than waiting for a parcel I really want, then going to the door and seeing that cursed little card that says I've missed it. Damn you little card! Oh well, just means I have to wait an extra day. And Dad has to go pick it up tomorrow.
But can you blame me for not wanting to wait for these? Really?

Ooooh I cant wait >.< But I've been ordering cute things too, so I'll post those soon too. If you want serious kawaii in the UK, I suggest you go here ------->www.chicki.co.uk/
I've ordered a Hello Kitty Pompom Gacha, and it's random so I won't know what colour I've got till I open it! So easily amused...
Oh, and I got a Tokidoki cute little character phone charm. And not only that, I got the LAST ONE. Yeah. also random, so I get more surprises when it gets here! And in case you're wondering, yes, I am amused by shiny things =3

O hai there! Well, I don't think I have a particularly interesting life (don't get me wrong, Iits nothing to complain about), so I guess this can be for whatever happens along the way =3 I'm very much a 'take each day as it comes' person, although I do like to plan and organise things.
Anyone else think it's kinda creepy that livejournal can detect where you are? Or is it just me being behind the times? Oh Well :P
You know what I learned today? The boots I ordered were shipped. Yes, on a Sunday. I had no idea this happened anywhere in the wide world of retail :o Well, I'm not going to complain, since it means I get them sooner (thank you lovely people who work on a sunday!) Unless they actually shipped yesterday and were just lazy. Do not deceive me. I doubt this, however, as they were ordered past the time that anyone was likely to still be working. You learn something new every day :)
